You are a hard worker, and others view you as dedicated, reliable and someone who always gets the job done. You have a lot on your plate, but you feel immense guilt saying "no" when others have asked too much of you. You are tired and burned out.
You have high standards for others, and even higher standards for yourself. You have a method for completing tasks and you feel annoyed when you don't have enough time to get things done or others can't do the job well. Being a perfectionist used to be helpful, but now you are tired of being frustrated and never feeling good enough.
You recently went through a major life transition and now you feel overwhelmed, lonely, disconnected or pressured to make things work or be the best. Sometimes you resent this change and worry that you will never feel relief.
You have perfected the art of seeming like you have it all together, but on the inside it feels like things are falling apart. You are dealing with high amounts of stress, your worry keeps you up at night, and you have difficulties saying nice things to yourself.
You have big dreams and life goals, but somehow you can't quite keep up with day-to-day demands. Outside influences and pressures are bringing you down, you find yourself procrastinating on important tasks, and avoidance has become your best friend.
You have thought about therapy, but you hesitate to take that step. You know that you need to do something different, but you worry that therapy is too drastic.
If you are feeling increasingly stressed, anxious, insecure, or immobilized by perfectionism, you have come to the right place. I'm glad you are here!
Coming to therapy does not mean you are crazy, that there is something drastically wrong with you, or that you need to be fixed. Coming to therapy is taking care of yourself, finding security in who you are, and working through the challenges that are holding you back. Therapy might just be exactly what you need.
Finding the right therapist is time consuming and daunting. You spend loads of time searching profiles, reading about therapeutic approaches, and wondering if, or when, you should reach out. Take a look around and if you like what you see, schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. I'd love to help you get started!
You've googled and shifted through countless profiles, and you haven't quite found the right therapist. The process of searching for, and finding, the right therapist can be enough to make someone feel overwhelmed and like they want to quit before they've even begun. I get it.
Every therapist is different, and it's important for you to feel confident in your decision. Let's determine if I'm the right therapist for you...
I keep it real and my clients appreciate my straightforward approach. I am an active participant in your therapy and I will not tip-toe around your challenges. Your time is valuable and I want you to get the most out of your therapeutic journey.
The clients who are the most successful in therapy with me are ones who come ready to work, are invested in the therapeutic process, and understand that I’m not going to wave my therapy wand and make all of their problems magically disappear. Therapy is a process and it takes time, hard work and investment to experience change and healing.
The ones who experience the best results come ready to dive in and figure out what's been keeping them stuck. They show up to every appointment and they work hard. These clients are committed to their own growth and are ready to give up old habits that are not serving them well. They know it's time to do something different and they are ready to make changes.
I will be with you throughout the entire journey, and I am committed to holding a space for you as you process and problem-solve your unique challenges.
Yes, I have a fancy degree from an accredited college. I even went through several painstaking years of supervision and work experience to gain my professional title. You can read about my credentials and experience below. What is most important for you to know is that I will do everything in my power to support and encourage you in a way that works best for your growth and healing process.
In my free time, I enjoy walks around the lakes with my dog, reading a great belly-laugh book, a strong cup of coffee, exploring the wonders of the world, knitting scarfs, and many delicious bars of dark chocolate.
Regardless of who you are, where you are from, or where you happen to be on your journey, you are welcome here.

Individual Therapy Sessions
I provide 50-minute individual therapy sessions for tweens/teens and adults ages 11 and up.
I primarily provide individual therapy, however, I can provide family therapy depending on the needs of the client and family.
For teens who are anxious, moody, outcasted, self-doubting, lonely, procrastinators or perfectionists.
For adults who ride the rollercoaster of emotions, go through vicious cycles of anxiety, worry and self-doubt, are trapped in the fear of being judged by others, and feel immense pressure to succeed and shame for struggling.
I offer online therapy services. You can conveniently meet with me without leaving the comfort of your home. My services are offered STATEWIDE, so anyone in Minnesota can have access to therapy.
Walk and Talk Therapy
During the warmer months, instead of meeting at the office, meet me outdoors for a walk at Lake of the Isles. This is a fantastic option if you like the idea of experiencing fresh air and movement during your therapy session.
I do not accept insurance, but I can provide documentation for out-of-network benefits. Please verify the specific requirements for reimbursement with your insurance company.
